Dei miti. Tra le perle più preziose: I'm Broken, Five Minutes Alone, Cemetery Gates, Hollow e Floods. Per non citarne ancora tante altre.

L'assolo di Floods l'avrò ascoltato decine e decine di volte..

Indescrivibile.

Peccato per come sono finiti i Pantera.

E ancor più per cos'è successo a Dimebag anni dopo.

Non torneranno, ma resteranno.

Io i Pantera li facevo ascoltare a tutto il mio condominio...cacchio, avevo 15 anni all'epoca... [SM=x44468]

Cowboys from Hell era un pericolo per i mobili della mia stanza...ho sfasciato una sedia e una cassa dello stereo una volta mentre mi muovevo inconsultamente... [SM=x44452]

Gli assoli e i riff stoppati di Dimebag erano orgasmici, credo che Heresy sia stato il pezzo che ho più ascoltato e riascoltato in assoluto...chissà cosa farebbe adesso. [SM=x44468]

Buona parte della musica che ascolto è dei primi anni novanta (Soundgarden, Rage, Pantera, Metallica, Alice In Chains...)

A chi lo dici.. nato quando la scena rock e metal era all'apice... e grande abbastanza per ascoltarla quando ormai tanti se ne erano già andati in un modo o nell'altro.

I Pantera sono l'unica band thrash che ascolti. Gli unici che riuscivano a mettere in quel sound che, nonostante la mia propensione all'energia, mi risulta ostico, qualcosa di magico, melodico a tratti. Potente, rabbioso. ma mai gratuitamente.

Erano mitici, Dimebeg un genio. E Phil Anselmo una forza della natura.

Quattro eroi del metallo. Peccato che abbia iniziato ad ascoltarli all'epoca di "Reinventing the Steel", ad appena 16anni..bah..

Personalmente questa non è una delle mie canzoni preferite,anche perche "the gerat..." e "reinventing..." non mi avevano entusiamato come i precedenti dischi...però una cosa la devo dire,Dimabag è stato uno dei solisti più originali di tutta la scena metal,ogni assolo era un gioello...a volte con i suoi armonici faceva letteralmente piangere la chitarra...e anche me(sentire il secondo assolo di "regular people" per credere),aveva un gusto incredibile!

Onestamente a me neanche fa impazzire tutto l'album "The Great Southern Trendkill", però ci sono tre perle che non mi stancherò mai di ascoltare: La title-track, Floods e The Underground In America.
