Biography
Beginning her acting career at age 12 when she joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop, English actress Marsha Thomason turned a hobby into a successful acting career.
Born on January 19, 1976 in Manchester, England,
Thomason attended Holy Trinity Primary School in Blackley and went to North Manchester High School for Girls. She then went to Oldham Sixth Form College to study Media, Theatre and Performing Arts. She also attended the Manchester Metropolitan University to get her degree in English.
Marsha Thomason rose to prominence on British television. She was cast in Playing the Field and Where the Heart Is, and was also part of the cast in the BBC Three drama Burn It. She landed a procession of roles in Brazen Hussies with Julie Walters and Pie in the Sky. Thomason entered the American entertainment industry soon enough, acting opposite Martin Lawrence on the comedy Black Knight in 2001. She was also given roles in Long Time Dead and the independent feature Pure, before starring opposite Eddie Murphy in the Disney film The Haunted Mansion in 2003. She was also known for portraying the character Brandy in My Baby’s Daddy while appearing on the NBC series Las Vegas. She portrays the character Nessa Holt, known as the Ice Queen among the characters. The character left Las Vegas during its third season, being given a new identity. Thomason soon received a guest role in Life, playing Jill Abrahams on one episode. She soon found herself joining the cast of the award-winning sci-fi series Lost, playing the character Naomi Dorrit. Thomason’s other film credits include Caffeine in 2006, The Fast One, The Tripper and Tug of War. In 2004, she became a guest on the radio show Love Line. Thomason was also cast as a regular character on the CW’s series Easy Money.
